Is This You?
Your situation is just as unique as you are, but the struggles
you experience aren’t. Do any of these situations seem familiar?
- Your days are out of control.
You have your day planned and then the car breaks down, or the dog gets sick, or your friend just needs to vent for a few minutes (which turns into an hour). Or maybe you can’t even put your finger on how it happened but the results are the same—your already busy day gets derailed and you were really hoping to simply check a few things off your growing to-do list.
- You can’t find the time for your business.
Everything is running smoothly at home, but you just can’t seem to find the time or the energy to focus on your business. You have a lot of great ideas, but don’t seem to get around to them.
- Multitasking is your middle name.
To come even close to getting everything done, you are the queen of multitasking. You check email while making dinner, review business papers while at the park with the kids, when you’re working you’re thinking about what you can do with your family on the weekend. The bottom line is you’re usually thinking about something other than what it is you’re doing.
- You can’t find enough time in the day.
You’ve tried getting up earlier and staying up later, because when you need more time to get everything done, sleep is the first to go. Next are those little things you do for yourself, whether it’s enjoy a good book, your favorite physical activities or other hobbies that are just for you.
- Your favorite coping strategies aren’t working anymore.
More and more you’re noticing that your afternoon pick-me-up latte and cookie (or my favorite, the fries instead of the salad with lunch) leave you feeling guilty, overweight and even more lethargic afterwards. Or maybe running into your favorite store for just a little something for yourself has the credit card bill mounting and your house overflowing with things you don’t even really need.
