About Me and Why I'm Here

I’m here because I know first-hand how stressful life can be, and more importantly how a few changes can make it infinitely more enjoyable.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was living my life on overwhelm most of the time. Juggling a business, family, friends, hobbies, you know, life. I felt like a hamster on a habitrail wheel – running, running, running, and not getting anywhere!

Then, the real stress started. Have you ever seen those “stress tests” that ask if you’ve experienced any of these stressful life events? Well, I was going through all of the big ones, including the three D’s—death, disease and divorce.

Since everything as I’d known it was different, I figured it was the perfect time to make a real change in my life! The way I always wanted it to be. I sought help and discovered coaching with hypnosis and NLP.

Put Me In, Coach

The process was so life-changing I wanted to be able to help others in the same way. Especially if it meant they didn’t have to go through what I went through. The day of this epiphany I started the process to become certified as a coach. I’ve coached hundreds of people since I started in 2003 and have found it more rewarding than I ever imagined.

Now, my life, especially when I follow my own advice, has a gentler flow to it, even when I’m super busy with lots going on. There’s more time for fun and laughter while running my business, being with family and friends, even enjoying a hobby or two, like reading or my newest challenge, mountain climbing. My clients report similar results.

More About My Experience and Background

A life-long entrepreneur, I’ve been self-employed since 1996. Before coaching, I was an Investor Relations Consultant and helped public companies market themselves to Wall Street. I also do some freelance writing.

My love for self-employment started in grade school, when I converted a wagon into a “Craft Cart” and pulled it door-to-door to sell my art projects to the neighbors. The amazing part? They actually bought the stuff!

In between my early and more recent self-employment gigs, I held a variety of management positions in small businesses ranging from a microbrewery to a children’s theatre.

If you’re interested in knowing more, check out the details about my training, credentials and education.

Since you’ve spent this much time learning about me, I’d love to hear from you, whether it’s a question, comment, story or just to tell me about a typo!
